    Dos Cabezas Wineworks
Planted, harvested, and fermented in Arizona! Come try a glass!

Dos Cabezas WineWorks is a family-owned and operated winery that challenges the perception that Arizona does not produce exceptional wines. Dos Cabezas WineWorks has been producing wines in Arizona since 1995. The winery was originally located on the 80 acre Dos Cabezas Vineyard near Willcox, AZ. Just after the harvest of 2006, winemaker Todd Bostock purchased the winery with the help of his wife Kelly and his parents Frank and Paula. The winery was moved to Sonoita, Arizona, close to the vineyard the family planted in Elgin in 2003.

Our wine has been enjoyed at the White House, earned critical acclaim and grabbed international attention. Yes, we make great wine. And yes, it's made near the rolling hills of Southeastern Arizona where birds, bobcats and pronghorn antelope call home.

Come down to our Dos Cabezas Tasting Room in Sonoita. It offers a relaxed yet inviting vibe where chats with the owners are as common as the great wine. Dos Cabezas wines are available in many fine Arizona restaurants and retail locations.
    Duquesne House Inn & Gardens
An historic adobe inn nestled in Patagonia offering charm, quiet, privacy and delicious breakfasts!

When Rollin R .Richardson came to southeastern Arizona in the late 1800’s, the town of Patagonia was nonexistent. He soon acquired a local ranch and began developing the town. His interests expanded to mining, and he owned and operated the Duquesne Mining and Reduction Company in the nearby Patagonia Mountains. However, the mine wasn’t close enough for the miners to commute from town (only buckboards and mules back then!) so in 1898, Richardson built a boarding house for his miners when they came to town for their overnight forays.

Almost 100 years later, Richardson’s boarding house was renovated and The Duquesne House Bed and Breakfast was born. The former boarding house rooms are now charming and colorful suites, ready to accommodate visitors from all parts of world who have come to southeastern Arizona to enjoy its scenic beauty and recreational opportunities.

Each of the three suites of our little Patagonia inn - The Rollin Richardson Suite, Marguerite's Suite, and Miss Medley's Suite - has its own entrance, sitting room, bedroom, private bath, and a rear door that opens onto the back porch or patio. A cozy but spacious retreat for two and comfortable lodging for four. The one room studio apartment, El Cuarto Bonito, includes a kitchenette and large tiled walk-in shower.

Each unit is colorfully painted and uniquely decorated with rustic Mexican furniture and folk art, and hand stitched quilts. Amenities include WiFi, radio/CD players with a selection of CDs, hairdryers, shampoo, body wash, body lotion, bubble bath, insect repellant, flashlights, and a selection of fun and unusual reading material. Board games and playing cards can be found on the patio of our inn. A microwave, refrigerator, and freezer are available if needed.

Breakfast is served "family style" in the dining room on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday mornings at 8:30. On certain holiday mornings, when many of the local restaurants may be closed, we offer a festive version of our full breakfast. We take pride in preparing full and balanced family style meals. As such, we do not cook to order, but we are more than happy to accommodate dietary restrictions if requested in advance

Stepping out from your room into our tiered gardens you will find three distinct patio areas. Along with our enclosed Arizona porch, you are bound to find a place to enjoy quiet and privacy. Mature deciduous trees provide cool shade in the summer and then drop their leaves to let in the warm winter sun. Enjoy a leisurely afternoon nap in the hammock or a glass of wine in our gardens on a cool summer evening. Spend a starry winter night warmed by the outdoor fire pit or inside by the wood burning stove on the Arizona porch. Pansies provide bright winter color against the rock terraces while vinca vine, rosemaries and salvias offer cool green leaves and colorful blooms.

As Patagonians who love exploring this area, we are here to help you discover the experiences that will make your trip to southeastern Arizona a memorable one. We hope to see you soon!

Dr. Gordon Dutt, founder of Sonoita Vineyards, is a retired soil scientist from the University of Arizona. As part of a research project back in 1973, he established an experimental vineyard on the red, acidic clay of the Babacomari Ranch in Southern Arizona. The success of that vineyard and the quality of the wines from those grapes led to the planting of a commercial vineyard in 1979, the first in the Sonoita-Elgin area. Sonoita Vineyards Winery opened in 1983 with a first-vintage production of 300 gallons.
Today Winemaker Lori Reynolds, Dr. Dutt’s Granddaughter, and Vineyard Manager Robi Reynolds, are producing nearly 4000 cases per year from 12 different grape varieties including Colombard, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Merlot, Petite Sirah, Sangiovese, Malbec, Mission and Cabernet Sauvignon. Over 90% of this production is sold through a beautiful and spacious tasting room, gift shop and special events facility with picturesque views of hillside vineyards, rolling grasslands and scenic mountain ranges. This facility is open daily (except major holidays) from 10AM to 4PM. Sonoita Vineyards is located 3 miles south of Elgin at 290 Elgin-Canelo Road, 85611. Visit www.sonoitavineyards.com or call 520-455-5893.

Sonoita Vineyards sits on a hilltop in the rolling grasslands of southern Arizona at an elevation of 5000 ft. The winery produces a full range of premium wines from crisp and fruity to bold and complex. Sonoita Vineyards is nestled in the middle of the Sonoita AVA (started in 1984) and produces high quality wines that expresses our unique terrior.
The oldest commercial vineyard and winery in Arizona, Sonoita Vineyards was started in 1974, opened in 1983 and now includes over 50 acres of vines. Aided by the unique growing conditions of the Sonoita Appellation (AVA – American Viticultural Area), the winery consistently creates award winning wines, including a Cabernet Sauvignon chosen by national wine critics to serve at a Presidential Inauguration Gala. Perched at an elevation of 5,000 feet among rolling grasslands, the vineyard is surrounded on three sides by soaring mountain ranges. The staff is small making each vintage of wine a one of a kind experience. The small staff does all the production and vine care under the guidance of Lori Reynolds, our Winemaker and granddaughter to our founder Dr. Gordon Dutt and Robi Reynolds, our Vineyard Manager. Every bottle of wine is hand bottled, labeled and capped in small batches at less than 2,000 bottles per vintage. Our grapes come no further than the Southeastern Arizona Region with the majority of wines being vinted from estate grapes.
