    Cheri’s Desert Harvest
Cheri’s all-natural products are made from fresh fruits and vegetables indigenous to the Sonoran Desert. Only the freshest prickly pear cactus fruit, citrus, honey, sweet peppers, and hot chile peppers are used in her preserves. The fruit is hand-harvested at the peak of ripeness to capture the exceptional flavor, color and nutrient content that nature created. Her quick mixes were formulated with wholesome ingredients to provide extraordinary flavor, texture and nutrition. Cheri invites all connoisseurs of delicious foods to experience the flavors of the desert and create a memory of the Southwest.

Shop online and have unique goods sent right to your door, or stop by for a truly special experience.

Cheri Romanoski is a native Tucsonan who grew up appreciating the desert and its natural resources. Born to hard working parents, preserving what grew in our surroundings became a hobby and great family pastime.
As an elementary teacher in Tucson, Cheri taught children about the flora and fauna of the Sonoran Desert and how Native Americans survived on its bounty. She later utilized this knowledge to preserve many fruits grown on her property to provide her husband and three children with all-natural, healthy preserves. The excess production was given to neighbors. Soon, the neighbors began sending over unusual fruit grown on their own property for her to preserve for them. Payment for this favor came in the way of special homemade goodies made in their own kitchens. As a result, Cheri learned how to make many different varieties of preserves, some of which she continues to make for her own business today. Since 1985, her home spun hobby blossomed into a national and international business.
Cheri continues to take extra care with each product by hand harvesting, processing and preparing all of her products in small quantities to ensure product quality and integrity. She still uses no artificial flavoring, coloring or preservatives, just nature’s finest fruits and vegetables.

    Cyclovia Tucson
    What is a Cyclovia?

Cyc˙lo˙via (/ˌsiːklɵˈviː.ə/) n. A Spanish word signifying the temporary closure of a network of streets to cars so that they become “open” to people. During Cyclovia anyone can bike, walk, skate and participate in fun, free activities.

One of the first and largest cyclovias in the world is held in Bogotá, Colombia. Every Sunday and holiday, every week of the year, the city closes down over 70 miles of roadways to cars to invite people to bike, walk, talk, exercise, picnic, sunbathe, etc. in the streets. People from all backgrounds come together in this beautiful community-inspiring event. Cyclovia in Tucson

Why have a Cyclovia in Tucson? Because Tucson has a lot of streets and it’s not everyday that you can be in them car-free and care-free. Take your whole family out for this great opportunity to explore and experience Tucson’s roads without the presence of cars.

Cyclovia gives people from the greater Tucson region the chance to enjoy great weather, see neighbors, friends and people from throughout the area, and get a little exercise – all on city streets that will be closed to car traffic and open to walkers, joggers, cyclists, skaters and all other forms of people-powered movement.

Motor vehicles are detoured from the route allowing everyone the freedom to enjoy “open streets” safely and comfortably. Cyclovia isn’t a race, parade or competition. Instead, it’s a chance to enjoy Tucson from a new perspective (outside of the car). Walk your dog, roller skate, blow bubbles. Have fun because during Cyclovia, the streets are yours!

Located in the historic Joesler-built Broadway Village, Falora builds pizzas & salads anchored in tradition with a sharply creative angle. Ingredients are simple, fresh; imported from Italy or sourced from local farms. Lunch & dinner. Charming patio or cozy interior. BRING A RECORD TO SPIN ON OUR VINTAGE STEREO.

Our pizza dough is made daily using Caputo 00 flour, and slow-fermented for 18-24 hrs.
That beautiful oven was hand crafted & built by Stefano Ferrara, a third generation Naples wood-firedoven builder. It was shipped over from Italy and fork-lifted through the arched west facing window, the only way in our small space. We burn pecan wood only, no gas, coal or electricity, and keep thetemperature around 700 degrees, cooking pizzas in about 2-3 minutes. This yields a flavor and intentional char to the crust that is complex and delicious.

You are welcome to bring your own albums, we'll gladly play during your meal on our vintage stereo. It's our only source of music...

    Fermented Tea Company
We strive to bring you the best quality and awarding health benifits from Kombucha!

Family run and operated microbrewery of Kombucha which takes love, effort, and a desire to make the best batch, fermented with tea, every time.

~Great Kombucha starts with Great Tea~ Our loose leaf tea blends are from a renown distributor known for superior tea quality!
*We add CO2 to our Kombucha to halt the fermentation process and assist in the bottling process.
    *Filtered Water.
*Non GMO Evaporated Cane Sugar from a local supplier.
*Healthy vibrant living culture of probiotics and beneficial yeasts.
*Non-Alcoholic producing less than 0.05% alcohol.

After many trials and continuous determination, we finally developed a consistent delicious Kombucha. I thought I could share this with people at our local farmers market and maybe make some extra money to help our boys with college. The gentleman who runs the farmers market also happened to own a tea company. This greatly assisted us in perfecting our recipes with his tea blends. We created many varieties of Kombucha, but when we first created our Kombuchai flavor, we were amazed with it! A Kombucha brew better than any flavor or brand we ever tasted! Almost in a shocked state that something with such a superb taste can be so good for you. And now, almost a year later we now have two additional flavors, Good Green (green tea), and a blend of four teas that we have named Cuatros Amigos.

    Gregory School
For more than 30 years, this independent, coed college preparatory school has been committed to educating Tucson's talented and diverse youth. The Gregory School (now offering grades 5-12) has a proud history and a strong reputation in the Tucson community for providing students an unparalleled educational experience that goes beyond strong academics.

We recently underwent a name change from St. Gregory College Preparatory School, and believe our new name better reflects who we are today and where we are headed. On a daily basis, the mission of the faculty and staff at The Gregory School is to challenge and support students to achieve excellence in character, scholarship, leadership, and innovation, preparing them to make a positive impact in the world through pursuing their passions, appreciating and creating beauty, and solving problems.

We are able to provide this extraordinary educational experience because we embrace the structure and philosophy of being an independent school.

The Gregory School is the only school in Southern Arizona accredited by the Independent Schools Association of the Southwest (ISAS). We are also a member of the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS).

An independent school is governed by a Board of Trustees, and thus is independent in governance and finance from any public or religious entity. The benefits of being an independent school are numerous. Independent schools can provide an individualized, high quality education of the ""whole child"". Personal and social growth and nurturing of a civic conscience go hand in hand with the importance of developing intellectual curiosity and abilities. The commitment to challenging academics is strengthened by an independent school's dedication to conveying the importance of hard work, leadership, personal responsibility and good citizenship.
    Hand Picked Produce
Hand Picked Produce offers the best selection of pesticide free, naturally grown and organic products at markets in Tucson, Marana and surrounding areas.

"We are gatherers not growers" says Gilbert Mejias. the founder and owner of Hand Picked Produce. "We gather the very best products, whenever possible from local growers, to offer our customers the best selection of pesticide free, naturally grown and organic foods. Our goal is to promote the same ethic with growers on either side of the border"

At Hand Picked Produce you will find locally grown tomatoes side by side with mangos and pineapple. We work with our growers to find healthy and safe foods that our customers will be proud to feed their families.

Small growers everywhere feel the pressure to adopt commercial growers practices to be competitive and stay profitable. This means more pesticides, more dependence on GE crops. One of our goals is to offer these growers access to new markets.

We also see a need for consumer education. Because there is so much confusion about terms like GMO vs GE. certified organic, naturally grown and because the Department of Agriculture's regulations can be so confusing we find ourselves in a position to help our customers navigate and understand those terms so that they can make the most informed choices for their families.

To advocate for homeless cats in our community by:

•Actively seeking permanent, loving homes for the cats in our care
•Providing lifelong care to those cats who for behavioral or medical reasons are unable to be re-homed
•Educating the public about responsible companion animal guardianship
•Adhering to the principle of “no-kill” in that no cat in our care will ever be euthanized to make room for another. Nor, will any cat in our care ever be destroyed except in cases of terminal and painful illness or when compassion demands it because there is no reasonable alternative.

Our vision for the future is that:

•Every cat is spayed/neutered and is cared for in a loving home by a responsible guardian
•People treat animals as the sentient beings they are, ensuring that they are neither exploited nor harmed
•Educating the public about responsible companion animal guardianship
•The Hermitage Cat Shelter is a world-class organization, providing sanctuary care for cats needing temporary or permanent shelter, and promoting the innate value of all animals
